The oldest known Pentacle dates all the way back to 3,000 B.C. and is thought to have been the symbol of an ancient Egyptian goddess Kore. This symbol has been used in a large variety of written spiritual texts across the world including but not limited to; the ancient Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Celtics, Druids, Native Americans and ancient Greeks.

Ancient cultures had a use for this symbol, considering it is so prevalent throughout known history. Some ancient civilizations utilized the pentacle for angles in building and giving direction.
